PENGARUH PEMBERIAN TENDON GLIDING EXERCISE PADA KASUS CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME (CTS) : CASE REPORTS

Abstract

Efek kumulatif dari pekerjaan menjadi indikator kesehatan di kemudian hari pada proses penuaan, pada usia tua memiliki kecenderungan secara signifikan untuk  mempengaruhi beberapa karakteristik dari saraf perifer. Nyeri dan paresthesia pada carpal tunnel muncul sebagai akibat dari iskemia saraf dikarenakan padatnya struktur  pada carpal tunnel yang berisi jalan untuk 8 digital flexor tendon (2 masing masing untuk 4 jari medial), tendon flexor policic longus untuk ibu jari, selubung synovial, median nerve ditambah dengan keadaan yang dapat dapat meningkatkan volume struktur di dalamnya akan menyebabkan kompresi pada nerve medianus. Penatalaksaan fisoterapi yang diberikan ialah tendon gliding exercise, setelah dilakukan latihan selama tiga kali didapatkan hasil bahwa nyeri diam pada T0:2 menjadi T3:1, nyeri tekan T0:4 menjadi T3:2 dan nyeri gerak T0:7 menjadi T3:4. Derajad paresthesia pada saat diam T0 hingga T3:1, paresthesia saat ditekan T0:3 menjadi T3:2, paresthesia saat bergerak T0:4 menjadi T3:2. Pemberian Tendon Gliding Exercise pada Carpal Tunnel Syndrome (CTS) dapat menurunkan nyeri dan paresthesia.
