Peer Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to Gaster undergo an initial editorial screening to assess their suitability with the journal’s focus, scope, and basic submission requirements. Manuscripts that pass this stage are then evaluated through a blind peer-review process by at least two reviewers with relevant expertise in the field.

In the review process, the identities of reviewers are not disclosed to the authors. Reviewers assess the manuscript based on its originality, scientific merit, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, ethical compliance, and contribution to the field of health sciences. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editorial team may reach one of the following decisions: accept submission, accept with minor revisions, revise and resubmit, or decline submission.

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in response to reviewer comments within the specified timeline. The final decision on manuscript acceptance is made by the editorial team based on the results of the peer-review process and the quality of the revised manuscript.
