PENGARUH PEMBERIAN NEURODYNAMIC TECHNIQUES DAN TENDON GLIDING EXERCISES PADA PASIEN CARPAL TUNNEL SYNDROME : CASE REPORT

Latar Belakang: Tangan merupakan salah satu anggota gerak tubuh yang kompleks dan memiliki fungsi penting dalam aktivitas sehari-hari. Carpal Tunnel Syndrome merupakan kumpulan gejala seperti nyeri, kesemutan, dan baal pada pergelangan tangan akibat kompresi persisten nervus medianus saat melewati terowongan carpal di pergelangan tangan dan lengan bawah. Pemberian NT dan TGE bertujuan untuk memberikan efek pengurangan inflamasi atau edema dan nyeri pada saluran carpal sehingga dapat meningkatkan aliran darah, dan menurunkan tekanan. di dalam kanal. Tujuan: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efek pemberian NT dan TGE terhadap intensitas nyeri, kekuatan otot, cakupan gerak sendi, dan status fungsional pada penderita CTS. Metodologi: metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah laporan kasus yang dilakukan pada pasien berusia 61 tahun dengan diagnosa medis CTS sinistra. Subjek diberikan intervensi ND dan TGE dan dilakukan evaluasi nyeri menggunakan NRS, evaluasi kekuatan otot menggunakan MMT, evaluasi lingkup gerak sendi menggunakan goniometer, dan evaluasi status fungsional menggunakan BCTSQ. Hasil: Pemberian teknik neurodinamik dan latihan tendon gliding pada pasien CTS sinistra diperoleh hasil berupa penurunan nyeri, peningkatan cakupan gerak sendi, dan peningkatan status fungsional. Kesimpulan: Pada penelitian ini diperoleh hasil bahwa terdapat penurunan nyeri, peningkatan lingkup gerak sendi, dan peningkatan status fungsional yang diberikan intervensi selama 4 pertemuan.
