Abstract

Child growth and development are important processes that determine the quality of life in the future. However, the prevalence of developmental disorders and stunting in toddlers in Indonesia is still quite high. One of the early stimulation efforts that can be undertaken to support a baby's growth and development is baby massage. From the perspective of Thibbun Nabawi, baby massage combined with the use of olive oil and the recitation the Quran is believed to provide benefits in the physical, emotional, and comfort aspects for the baby. This community service activity aims to enhance mothers' knowledge and skills in performing baby massage based on Thibbun Nabawi as a form early stimulation for child development. The methods used include counseling, screening educational videos, and direct practice of baby massage using olive oil and Quran recitation. Evaluation was conducted through pre-test, post-test, and observation of participants' practical skills. This activity involved 25 mothers who have babies aged 0–12 months. The results of the activity showed an increase in mothers' knowledge from the poor category of 72% to the satisfactory category of 80%. As many as 92% of participants were able to independently and correctly practice baby massage techniques. Additionally, mothers reported that their babies became calmer and their sleep quality improved after regular massages. These findings indicate that practice-based and audiovisual education effectively enhances mothers' ability to support their baby's growth and development. Thibbun Nabawi-based baby massage is worthy of being integrated into community health programs such as posyandu and toddler-mother classes.
